Story

Hi I am Amani! I am a wife and a mother. I worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 13 years, where I gained skills in communication and social intelligence. Connecting with people and sharing meaningful bonds with others, was the most enjoyable part of my job. However, in 2014, I experienced a heartbreak that left me broken, lost, void, and feeling worthless. I struggled with my wrecked feelings and it was hard for me to understand and express my emotions. Then, I discovered Yoga; a world that changed my life.

In 2016, I went on a self discovery journey. I went to India for a yoga teacher training program to deepen my practice.

Yoga transformed my life by giving me key techniques for proper breathing to reduce stress, tension and stay calm. It taught me the gift of meditation to gain clarity and postures to strengthen my body alongside improving my balance and stability. Yoga opened a great door for me, not only mentally and physically, but also emotionally. It is through yoga that I have learned to love myself, create healthy boundaries, and embrace my vulnerabilities. I learned to let go of things that no longer served me and instead, develop healthy connections with people and things around me.

In 2021, I gave birth to my son and experienced postpartum depression. I struggled with my new life and had many questions. So, I enrolled in a coaching program, which helped me discover my strengths, find my purpose and navigate through my new identity. With various tools, approaches and self realizations, I was inspired to pursue a life coaching certificate. I believe that we, as humans, are evolving to become more mentally and emotionally aware, leading to raise a greater understanding and less judgmental communities. This shift towards a deeper, more meaningful and peaceful life is the key that holds my motivation to be an active and present life coach.

My experience has taught me that change is inevitable and scary, but necessary for growth. Once I accepted myself, my strengths and my weaknesses, I found love again. I am whole now and enough, living in the moment and accepting life as it comes with an open heart.
